The easy ECM Base Application app extends Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with essential ECM (Enterprise Content Management), DMS (Document Management System) and compliant cloud archiving functionalities. It provides a stable, technically integrated foundation for document management and archiving directly within Dynamics 365 Business Central. The ECM Base Application is designed for organizations and partners that require a reliable ECM/DMS base layer, which can be extended and adapted to individual business processes and solution architectures. The ECM Base Application app provides the following features:
- Context‑based document display in Dynamics 365 Business Central, for example quotation, order or invoice history directly within the transaction – one of the core functions of document management (DMS)
- Integration of documents from connected applications, such as e‑mail attachments from Microsoft Outlook, including direct assignment to Business Central records
- Intelligent search functions and process numbers, that automatically link matching documents within Dynamics 365 Business Central, enabling fast access to transaction‑related documents
- Audit‑proof and legally compliant archiving of all incoming and outgoing records and documents, in accordance with legal and tax regulations (e.g. GoBD‑compliant archiving)
- Intuitive document management operation directly in the EASY Business Central app, ensuring a smooth user experience with minimal or no training effort
- ECM FactBox integration, expanding many Business Central pages with DMS functionality such as displaying all documents related to the selected records
- Integrated preview, of supported file types
- Drag‑and‑drop document capture and archiving, allowing users to easily add external files directly to Dynamics 365 Business Central records
- Archiving of vertical and industry‑specific solution documents, ensuring a consistent document repository
- ECM Task Scheduler for automated document management and archiving tasks
- 100 % native integration, so users work exclusively in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central client, without system changes or additional interfaces
